Dr. Leon Botstein, President of Bard College
Dr. Lynn Pasquerella, President of Mount Holyoke College
Panelists and Facilitators
This full-day professional development opportunity took place on January 7, 2014, on the historic Emma Willard School campus in Troy, New York.
Emma Willard School was founded on a provocative idea in 1814: females should have the same quality and access to education as males had. Today, the education landscape is humming noisily with questions regarding the future of modern education, teaching in the “information and sharing age,” and how to best cultivate students for success in the world.
Education is a transformative experience. Madame Willard believed it in 1814 and we know it still.
