Full scholarships available for boarding school and undergraduate education!

From Bolivia, Botswana, Croatia, Saudi Arabia, and Vietnam, as well as from across the United States, the inaugural class of Davis Scholars completed its first, very successful year at Emma Willard School. Six new scholars will join us this fall, adding Ethiopia to the list of countries represented.

Together with Emma Willard School, the Shelby Cullom Davis family has established a program for international students to attract highly motivated, potential future leaders. For the 2010–2011 year, the Davis family has arranged to provide two $20,000 scholarships. Grants are need based and, if a student qualifies, they may be eligible for financial assistance up to an additional $20,000. Students may enroll in the 10th and 11th grades as well as during the postgraduate year. Upon graduation from Emma Willard, Davis Scholars are eligible for continued scholarship support at any of the 89 Davis United World Scholars colleges and universities in the United States. As the leading educator of young women, Emma Willard School is proud to leverage the value of this remarkable initiative to achieve a demonstrable and sustained impact on the world.

Emma Willard is the most venerable girls’ school in the United States. Located in Troy, New York, the school educates 310 girls in grades 9–12. Emma Willard proudly fosters in each young woman a love of learning, the habits of an intellectual life, and the character, moral strength, and qualities of leadership to serve and shape her world.
