Discover Emma Willard School

Come Visit Us!

The best way to discover what Emma Willard is all about is to visit our campus and meet our students and faculty. During your visit you and your parents will tour our campus with a student ambassador, attend an academic class, and interview with a member of the Admissions staff. You can expect your visit to last approximately two and a half to three hours.

In addition, we will be hosting three “Discover Emma Willard” Open House programs this fall and winter on October 13, 2008, November 11, 2008, and January 19, 2009. Our open houses consist of an all-school meeting, a panel discussion with students, parents, and faculty members, guided campus tours, an information session hosted by department chairs, and a community lunch in our new dining hall. Interviews are offered on a space available basis as well.

Please contact the Admissions Office at (518) 833-1320 or admissions@emmawillard.org to plan your visit to Emma Willard School. The Office of Admissions is open for visits from 8:30 to 4:00 Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday, and on Wednesday mornings. We look forward to meeting and learning more about you soon!

“With alarming consistency, girls learn as they grow up that their role requires giving over to boys leadership positions, the study of certain subjects such as mathematics and the sciences, and certain important attitudes towards learning—such as questioning, challenging, and risk taking.”—From Who Goes Where?
