Financial Aid

Procedures

New Families

New families must indicate their intent to apply for financial aid by calling the director of financial aid at 518-833-1322, through our online inquiry form, or by checking the appropriate box on their application for admission.

New and Returning Families

•  New and returning families must submit a PFS form for all required family members (one form per family, or one form per separated/divorced spouse) to SSS by February 1st.

AND

•   New and returning families must submit the following to Emma Willard by February 1st:

  1. A copy of 2008 IRS Form 1040 and all accompanying schedules. If not filing U.S. taxes, contact director of financial aid.
  2. Copies of 2008 W2 forms, if applicable.
  3. Form 4506-T (Request for Transcript of Tax Return Form)—found on our website at .
  4. A cover letter explaining any additional financial circumstances that the committee should consider in reviewing your application.
  5. If a family member owns a portion or all of a business, Business/Farm form.
  6. If submitting information for only one parent, a letter explaining the other parent’s relationship with the applicant (see Q&A below).

Please note:

After the February 1st deadline, requests for financial aid are considered on a first come, first served basis, contingent on the availability of funds.
