Alumnae Achievement

reforming state law, studying tropical rain forests, leading their
communities, publishing landmark research, producing the nightly news, delivering
babies, or raising children, our alumnae possess the key ingredients for
success: self-awareness, intelligence, and the confidence to face change.
They go on from Emma Willard to become accomplished actors, lawyers, writers,
doctors, teachers, civic and business leaders, researchers, entrepreneurs—you
name it.
Armand Herald, committed campus caretaker for more than 30 years, winds
the clock in the Chapel tower by hand each Wednesday. His father held the
job for 20 years before him.
