Getting Here
Albany International Airport is served by Continental, Delta, Northwest, Southwest, United, and US Airways. Amtrak (amtrak.com, 800-872-7245) provides service to the Albany/Rensselaer Station, and Trailways (trailways.com, 800-776-7581) and Greyhound Bus Lines (greyhound.com, 800-231-2222) also serve the area. Cab fare from the airport and the train and bus stations is approximately $25.
From the East:
Mass Pike (I-90) into New York State. Continue on I-90 (using exit B1) to exit 9, to Rte. 4 north. On Route 4, travel 1.5 miles to a right onto Country Route 74 (Winter St. Ext.) Travel approx. 2 miles. When the road forks, bear left (leaving Route 74 and continuing on Winter St. Ext.) to end. Turn left onto Pawling Ave. (Rte. 66). Emma Willard is 8/10 of a mile ahead on the right, marked by a wrought-iron fence.
From New York City:
Exit 23 off New York State Thruway, to I-787 northbound, to Rte. 7 east. Now see “From All Points.”
From Western New York:
New York State Thruway to Exit 24. Continue on I-90 to I-787 northbound, to Rte. 7 east. See “From All Points.”
From the North:
Northway I-87 south to Exit 7, Rte. 7 east to Troy. Now see "From All Points".
From All Points:
From the Collar City Bridge heading east, follow Rte. 7 east (Hoosick St.) to 4th traffic light. Turn right onto 15th St. and follow it to the end past Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (approx. one mile). Turn left onto Rte. 2, then bear right onto Rte. 66 (Pawling Ave.) at the second traffic light. Emma Willard will be on your left (one mile) after the 4th traffic light at Maple Ave., marked by a wrought-iron fence. Continue along the front of campus past the fifth light (at Myrtle Ave.) to the Massry Gate on your left.
Parking lots are located on campus to the right of the main Pawling Ave. entrance and behind the gym to the left of the Elmgrove Ave. entrance.
