Tuesday, September 2—OPENING DAY
9:00 a.m.–Noon Registration and reception Kellas Commons
  Students and their families check in for ID pictures and room assignments. Business Office and Health Center available. "Escorts" accompany new students to rooms.
Noon–1 p.m. Lunch Kellas Dining Room
1–1:30 p.m. Dean of Students meets with new students Student Center
1–1:30 p.m. Head of School and senior administrators meet new parents Kiggins Hall
1:30–2 p.m. Boarding students and parents meet with resident faculty Hall Alcoves
2:15–3 p.m. Class Meetings: Class advisors and class officers introduce themselves and plan for the year
3 p.m. Goodbyes. Parents, please depart. See you at Parent Days.
3 p.m. Day students meet with proctors Student Center
Students without schedules meet with Dean of Academics Registrar's Office, Slocum Hall
3:45–5:15 p.m. New student introduction to technology at EW (45-min. workshops) TBC

Emma students score higher than national average

Emma Willard students score on average 150 points higher than the national average for girls on the verbal section of the SAT, and 110 points higher on the math section.
