On September 29, 2012 nine Emma Willard School students were recognized by the University at Albany as part of the university’s Multicultural High School Achievers Program. In its 25th year, the program recognizes high school juniors who have distinguished high school academic records and are involved in numerous school and community activities. Awardees have achieved a high school grade point average of 88 or better and are nominated by their guidance counselors or community leaders.
Emma seniors Cathleen Alarcon, Mitali Das, Lauren Henderson, Songye Pai, Eunsol Park, KaraLin Pintye-Everett, Maya Raghavan, Anika Verma, and Adina Zhang were all recognized at the event.
