survey
conducted by the National Coalition of Girls’ Schools shows
that for parents whose daughters attend girls’ schools, satisfaction
exceeds expectations. The single-sex environment supports risk taking,
encourages academic achievement, and fosters self-confidence. Of the
300 parents surveyed by the Coalition, 98 percent felt they and their
daughters had made the right choice.
Says Trudy Hall, Head of School at Emma Willard, “We see unfettered glee, authentic humor, honesty in personal expression, all out in the open. We see experimentation, expression, and exploration, sometimes delicately displayed, sometimes not, but always original. We are privileged to hear and see the development of a girl’s true voice.”
