High School Regional Art Exhibition at EW

March 1, 2007

mma Willard School will host the 2007 High School Regional Juried Art Exhibition in its Dietel Gallery from Sunday, March 4, through Saturday, March 31. The annual exhibit celebrates the achievements of high school artists from throughout the Capital District by displaying hundreds of works in various media, including painting, drawing, sculpture, and photography.

Jurors for the exhibit include Ginger Ertz from the Tang Museum at Skidmore College, painter Thomas Breitenbach, and retired art teacher and artist Phil Spaziani.

This year, 25 student artists from Emma Willard School have had their work accepted in the exhibit. The work of one student, an oil painting by junior Sarah Fuhrman, has won the Juror’s Award.

Ginger Ertz will be the guest speaker at the opening reception of the exhibit, to be held on Sunday, March 4, from 1 to 3 p.m. in Dietel Gallery. The gallery is open from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. on weekdays, and from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on weekends; it is closed on school holidays.
