Students in Good Hands

Personal teacher-student relationships and fast friendships are central to life at Emma Willard. Faculty advisors, resident faculty, dormitory affiliates, senior proctors, and peer educators are the primary people who encourage students academically and personally here at school.

Add to this network the offices of the Dean of Curriculum, the Dean of Students, and an involved and caring Health Center staff. Collectively, we have a comprehensive understanding of your daughter, her needs, and ways to help her get where she wants to go. As a team, we’re well equipped to guide girls as they contemplate and confront some of life’s most challenging principles: tolerance, humility, integrity, and accountability.

This is a healthy setting for your daughter to try new things, stretch, and realize the full strength and capability of the person she’s been all along—the person you have raised, loved, guided, and cared for with every step. Our goal is to celebrate and nurture her enthusiasm, intelligence, and spirit.

“I can’t say if it’s the medicine or just how nice everybody is, but whenever I get back to my room after a trip to the health center, I feel ten times better.”—Kate, 11th grade
