At Emma, our teachers are here because they want to be here. They are concerned with helping you grow inwardly: finding out what you really love to do and then channeling all the resources of the school toward your success.

And that attention to detail doesn't stop when the class day ends. Our faculty eat in the dining halls and live on campus, and some coach our teams. They see you everywhere, and that's a good thing.
Emma's rigorous college preparatory curriculum ensures a strong foundation in all major academic areas in addition to extensive exposure to the arts.
We offer a range of courses including: Advanced Placement (AP) preparation in English, Spanish, French, Chinese, statistics, calculus, chemistry, biology, physics, U.S. government, U.S. history, art history, studio art and computer science.
“History really became more concrete for me when we studied the Ottoman Empire; it was no longer just words in a textbook or something detached from our lives today. I got to learn about where my family came from, like how my green-eyed and blonde grandmother ended up being Turkish. It made me notice that history isn't just about who killed whom and when; it's about how different people and cultures came to be.”
