Performance Training at Emma integrates four major pillars of athletic achievement: strength and conditioning, athlete development, nutrition and sleep/recovery.
Striking the right balance between all of these components places the Emma athlete in the best position to succeed.

Strength and Conditioning
A solid strength and conditioning foundation is extremely important for performance enhancement as well as injury prevention.
Athlete Development
In addition to sport and life skill development and physical conditioning, we also focus on mental toughness and emotional development. Our coaches emphasize fair play and sportsmanship.
Nutrition
Our goal is to educate our athletes about how to make choices in the dining hall that will enable them to perform at their best. This includes having a nutritionist address all student athletes during preseason training and sending staff to professional development opportunities that include sports nutrition.
Sleep/Recovery
In both the classroom and the playing field, a student athlete can only perform at her best if her body and mind are well rested.
