What's Expected
he
day is packed with eight class periods, four in the morning and four
in the afternoon. Each class lasts 40 minutes—and then some, if you
count the conversation that spills into the hallway. A double block at lunchtime
allows for a meal and a change of clothes, club meeting, or class assembly.
Most students select five or six courses each semester out of about 140 offered
during the year. This leaves two or three free periods each day for
meeting
with faculty, working ahead on an assignment, or tackling independent
study.
