ActivitiesOur resident advisors work together to offer many fun, stimulating, team-building, or just plain crazy activities for our students. Students have two structured activity periods – one in the afternoon after classes are over, and another in the evening after dinner. During the afternoon free period, after a full day of learning, we encourage students to go outside and get active. The resident advisors always offer physical activities like dodgeball or volleyball, a jog on the track or trails, a game of tennis, or a dip in the pool. Students can check out frisbees or balls and organize their own games on the quad, or they can use the gym equipment and indoor courts. Additionally, students may use the computer labs for e-mail and Internet access. In the evening, RAs offer two types of activities. All students participate in the first activity; the second activity is optional. After dinner, all students come together to participate in discussions or workshops; in previous summers, these have addressed Internet Safety, public speaking, self-esteem and personal journeys. Afterwards, the RAs offer many fun and relaxing options. The campus quad and hall lounges are the perfect setting games and group projects. We always have a lot of laughs and learn more about each other. Each night is different and multiple options are offered.
