In one of the biggest STEM initiatives at a regional high school, 20 Emma Girls work alongside world-class research faculty in laboratories at Rensselaer, The New York State Museum, and Russell Sage College. They are doing original research ranging from insect evolution to stem cells and tissue engineering.
The Emma Fund
Gifts to The Emma Fund (formerly called the Annual Fund) support deserving young scholars, dedicated teachers, and the magnificent campus they call home—all the strategic priorities at the heart of an Emma Willard education. Simply put; they ensure that Emma Willard is able to offer a rich and transfomative educational experience for every student.
These gifts provide relief to the school's operating budget and offer valuable flexibility, allowing us to meet our most pressing needs in any given year.

Thanks to the generosity of hundreds of alumnae, parents, and friends, The Emma Fund surpassed $1.9 million for the first time last year--an impressive feat during a difficult economic time. We hope you will consider making a gift to Emma Willard this year and continuing the school's nearly 200-year legacy as the world leader in girls’ education. You can be certain that it will have an immediate impact on today's Emma girls and on the lives of everyone they touch.
