Emma Willard School's arts facilities are a testament to its commitment to fostering creativity and excellence.
The Alice Dodge Wallace ’38 Center for the Performing Arts, opened in 2025, includes the newly renovated Klingenstein Concert Hall and an expansion into a subterranean annex building that contains two dance studios, a studio theater, and orchestra rehearsal space. Just a short walk through LeFort Atrium leads to the visual arts classrooms housed in Maguire, where students have access to top-tier equipment and supplies across a range of artistic disciplines. The campus also features two dedicated galleries that showcase student work, fostering a vibrant visual arts community.

Klingenstein Concert Hall
Klingenstein Concert Hall seats the entire campus community and features adaptable staging, enhanced acoustics, new lighting and restored architectural details.
Strong and Rao Dance Studios
These beautiful spaces are bright and airy, featuring modern wall paneling, vaulted ceilings, wood-sprung floors, and audio/visual equipment.
Bennack Theater
Bennack is a 100-seat black-box style theater featuring a customizable stage and audience setup.
Van Norman Music Rehearsal Room
This studio features enough space for a 70-piece orchestra rehearsal, risers for choir, and enhanced audio/visual equipment.
Visual Arts Classrooms
Our visual arts classrooms offer students inspiring spaces and equipment from tactile mediums to digital and media arts.
Art Galleries
The Dietel Gallery and Slocum Student Gallery features works from students and/or alumnae. Installations rotate through the year to continuously feature new art.
Maguire Auditorium
Maguire Auditorium is the home of most choral rehearsals at Emma Willard.
Mainster Dressing Room
The Mainster Dressing Room provides a space for actors and guest artists to prepare themselves to perform.
Individual Practice Rooms
Snell Music Building provides individual practice rooms for those wanting to spend time in rehearsal in smaller groups or by themselves.
