Emma Girls earned Emma Willard School the “First in Region Award” in this year’s New York Math League competition, meaning the school had the highest cumulative score for schools in the Capital Region and surrounding counties.
Cara Y. ’18 was Emma’s top performer, scoring an impressive 33 out of 26 possible points and earning perfect scores on four of the six tests. Rounding out our top five performers were Tiffany D. ’17 with 26 points and two perfect scores, Claire C. ’17 with 26 points, Hannah L. ’17 with 25 points, and Nina X. ’18 with 25 points. A special kudos also goes out to Lydia H. ’17 who earned a perfect score on the final test.
The hard work and talents of our girls allowed Emma Willard School to place 23rd out of the 137 participating New York State high schools.
Congratulations to all participants on a job well done!
