  • Q: How do I contact GirlSummer?

    Please contact the email address for all questions leading up to the program. 

    This email is also the best way to get in touch with GirlSummer staff during the program. 
  • Q: What is the campus like?

    Emma Willard School is located on a historic campus comprised of 23 buildings on 137 acres of land with 24 hour security. 

    During the day portion of camp, campers have attendance between each elective (every 50 minutes).  
  • Q: What if I have concerns about something that has happened to my daughter either at home or during the program?

    Our goal is to provide a fun-filled, interesting, stimulating, and safe environment for your child at GirlSummer. Please email Julie Clancy, Director of GirlSummer, at if there is a change in your child’s world that may affect her at GirlSummer (something at home or at the program).

    We want to do our best to ensure that your daughter has a successful and positive experience each and every day.
  • Q: What is your cancellation policy?

    An enrolled camper/student may only be withdrawn upon written notice if such notice is received by the school on or before April 1, 2020. If written notice is received on or before April 1, 2020 you will receive a full refund of the program tuition and additional options minus a $200 processing fee. If you decide to cancel your daughter’s enrollment/application in writing after April 1, 2020, you will forfeit 50% of the total program tuition and any optional fees paid.
  • Q: GirlSummer Payment Methods and Due Date

    A 50% deposit is due when submitting the summer program registration/application. We accept credit cards and wire transfers only. The remaining balance is due on April 1. Full payment must be made before a class schedule will be completed for your daughter.
    English Language and Leadership registrants must pay in full to complete registration.
    Credit Card:
    Credit cards are accepted when registering/applying using our online application.
    International Payments:
    Families without a U.S. bank account can pay online using Flywire by peerTransfer. Flywire peerTransfer allows international families to pay securely from any country and any bank, generally in their home currency.
  • Q: My daughter has a food allergy. What do I need to do to ensure her safety while attending the program?

    If your daughter has a food allergy please contact for more information and determine next steps.  
  • Q: What is the schedule each day?

    After registering, campers will submit an elective preference form before June 1st. All campers will receive their schedule on the first day of their session. There will be an opportunity to submit schedule changes after the first day.

  • Q:  What is the 2-hour elective option?

    The 2-hour elective is an opportunity for Upper Explorers to choose from one of four 2-hour elective courses (Jewelry Making, Ceramics, Photography, A World of Change) taking place after lunch.

  • Q: What medical forms and immunizations does Emma Willard require?

    As required by the State of New York, every camper must submit a physician’s certificate that documents the date the camper received the required vaccines. Medical enrollment forms and immunization requirements will be available online. Forms must be downloaded, completed, and uploaded by parents and the physician by June 1. All campers must be vaccinated.
    Once enrolled, please log into CampInTouch to complete all required medical and non-medical forms.

    GirlSummer does not accept mailed, emailed, or faxed health forms.
