Emma Willard School participated in Processing Community Day Worldwide, hosting Processing Community Day at Emma Willard (PCD@EW) on Saturday, January 19. Processing Community Day events focus on providing programming and art access and resources to diverse communities while learning the programming languages Processing and p5js.
PCD@EW included multiple workshops with collaborative coding, maker and craft activities, speakers from the world of computer and data science, and a livestream from Processing Community Day @ Los Angeles.
All attendees successfully worked through a beginner workshop and recreated Emma Willard’s Sage Tower with stars twinkling in the background in their program in just under an hour-and-a-half, and also took home a 3D printed PCD@EW keychain! We are looking forward to hosting the event again in the future.
