Last week, Emma Willard competed at the 37th Annual HS Programming Contest at Siena College. For the second year in a row, our team came in first place in the Green division! There were 73 teams in this division, including Capital Region and nonlocal schools.
Emma’s team consisted of four students writing in the Python coding language: Jisu B. ’27, Candy L. ’26, Vivian T. ’28, and Sophia H. ’27. Jisu and Candy have competed before and were members of last year's winning team while Vivian and Sophia were welcome new additions for this year's contest.
The team solved five of the seven problems in just 128 minutes. which was significantly faster than the second-place team, who solved five problems in over 300 minutes. Congratulations!
