At Morning Reports on May 12, 2024 our community was treated to a selection of student works from visual arts competitions this year.

Visual art department faculty Lindsay Slaughter, Caroline Valites, and Amanda Kralovic offered remarks on this year's student work:

Today we are celebrating the achievements of some wonderful students in the visual arts. We are honoring all of the students whose work was juried into our regional competitions this year and the students we selected to represent our school for the Congressional Art Competition.

There were four competitions with works in the form of Sculpture, Painting and Drawing and Media Arts. For each competition there were roughly 16 participating schools with up to 200 submissions. All of the works were selected by an outside committee of jurors who are local artists, curators and educators. Some students also received awards.

We are so proud of the hard work all of these students have put into their art, and we hope you can see why. Here is the work, please enjoy!

Congratulations to all of this year's amazing artists!
