The Emma Willard field event athletes had an impressive showing in the first track meet of the season on Saturday, April 13. The team placed third behind Tamarac-Hoosick Falls, and Hoosick Valley. Photographed above are Coach Shannon Bailey and Liji H. ’27.
Liji H. ’27 jumped a personal record of 4’ 8” in the high jump which qualified her to compete in the NYS Section 2 State Qualifier.
Zanyiah A. ’24 took 2nd place in the triple jump with a mark of 28’ 6”.
Ella W. ’27 took 3rd place in the triple jump with a mark of 28’ 0” in the first track event of her career.
Liji H. ’27 took 2nd place in both the high jump (4’ 8) and Long jump 13’ 4.5”.
Olivia B. ’26 took 3rd place in the long jump with a mark of 13’ 0.5”.
The Emma Willard 4 x 100 relay team of Anyla L. ’25, Nadia M. ’25, Olivia B. ’25 and Hazel L. ’27 captured 2nd place with a time of 57.02.
Anyla L. ’25 captured 2nd place in both the 100 meters and 200 meters with times of 13.71 and 28.82 respectively.
Hazel L. ’27 took 3rd place in the 100m with a time of 14.81.
Levi L. ’25 took 3rd place in the 1500m with a time of 6:48.47.
