National Merit Scholarship Commended Students

Emma Willard School is excited to announce that seven students from the Class of 2026 have been commended for their efforts for National Merit Scholarship awards.

The National Merit Scholarship program honors and shines a spotlight on academically talented students who promote a wider and deeper respect for learning. The Preliminary SAT, or PSAT, taken in the fall of a student’s junior year, serves as the National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test. This year, we have 7 seniors who have been commended: Stacy C., Yerin C., Ellie D., Fiona K., Iris L., Ava V., and Rebecca X. Those being named commended students have demonstrated outstanding potential for academic success.
