The National Merit Scholarship Program is an annual academic competition among high school students for recognition and college scholarships that began in 1955. Our two semi-finalists have an opportunity to continue in the competition for some 7,140 National Merit Scholarships worth nearly $28 million. The winners of 2024 will be announced beginning in April and concluding in July. Those chosen to receive scholarships will join nearly 375,000 other distinguished young people who have earned the Merit Scholar title.
