Pamela Mingle Named Chief Advancement Officer

Emma Willard School will welcome career fundraising professional Pamela Mingle as its new chief advancement officer next month.

We are thrilled to announce the selection of Pamela Mingle as chief advancement officer at Emma Willard School. Following a national search for this key leadership position, Ms. Mingle will join the school on July 1, 2026, reporting directly to Head of School Dr. Karen Lassey.

“It is my distinct pleasure to welcome Pamela as the newest member of the Emma Willard leadership team,” shared Dr. Lassey. “She impressed us from the start with her deep experience in philanthropy and community engagement, while illustrating a deeply held belief in the power of girls’ education and women’s empowerment.”

A seasoned leader in advancement and major gifts, Ms. Mingle brings a long track record of fundraising success in the arts and higher education to Emma Willard. She most recently served as the director of major gifts at Colgate University in Hamilton, NY, where she managed the major gifts team and inspired key support for the university’s Campaign for the Third Century.

Before her tenure at Colgate, Ms. Mingle dedicated more than a decade to Rider University in Lawrenceville, NJ, as senior director of development. At Rider, she played a critical role in helping the institution achieve its ambitious fundraising goals and was the founder and executive director of the university’s Gail Bierenbaum Women’s Leadership Council. Through this initiative, she engaged Rider alumnae to connect with the school’s young women to provide mentorship, leadership development, and strategic funding opportunities.

“It is an honor to step into this role at Emma Willard School and become part of a community that so deeply values a lifelong love of learning,” shares Ms. Mingle regarding her appointment. “The school’s mission resonates deeply with me, and I am excited to partner with Dr. Karen Lassey, the Administrative Team, the Board of Trustees, and the talented Advancement Team. It is a privilege to do this work; together we will engage our alumnae and parents, securing the vital resources that will continue the momentum of the historic Infinite Horizon campaign.”

Ms. Mingle joins the Emma Willard community at an exciting and exceptional moment as it concludes the largest campaign in the history of girls’ schools. To date, more than $190 million has been raised toward the original $175 million goal for Infinite Horizon. The campaign will conclude on June 30, after five years.

Beyond her professional achievements, Ms. Mingle holds a BA in English literature from Colgate University, an MFA from New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts, and a certificate in women’s executive leadership from the University of Virginia. She is a former professional ballet dancer and an avid fly fisher, serving on the Executive Board of Woman Fly Fishers.
