student and staff holding certificate

Thanh B. ’26 proudly presented Head of Enrollment Kristen Mariotti with a certificate from the Southern Vietnam Model United Nations Summer Conference—a testament to our students' remarkable initiative and leadership.

What began as Thanh's vision over two years ago has now blossomed into two highly successful international conferences. Working alongside teammates Di H. ’26 and Delphine P. ’27,  they have successfully brought Model UN to Vietnam, creating valuable educational opportunities for students across the region.

The trio's dedication extended beyond conference planning—they also hosted an informational session for students and families, sharing the excellence of Emma's educational community with a broader international audience.

This achievement exemplifies the global leadership and entrepreneurial spirit that defines our Emma students, who continue to make their mark on the international stage while proudly representing our school's values and mission. When asked about how she was able to make this dream possible from so far away, Thanh said, “Emma Willard supported the dream—not because it was polished or perfect—but because students dared to step forward. At Emma, the role of the school is not to hold students back, but to walk with them.”
