Swimming and Diving Championship

Emma Willard Swimming and Diving won its second league title in school history on Saturday, October 20 in the Colonial Council Championship. Congratulations to our Jesters!

Emma Willard relay teams took second places in the 200 Free and 400 Free teams of Ally D. ’25, Roya S. ’24, Alexis W. ’25, and Trinity P. ’26. In diving, Ashlyn B. ’24 continued her unbeaten streak to win first place while Brooklyn L. ’25 took home fourth place. Ally D. swam utterly impressive races in the 100 Fly and 200 Free finishing second overall in the 200. Roya S. turned in a pair of third place finishes in the 200 IM and 100 Back. Trinity P. continued her string of strong performances in the 100 Fly and 200 IM as well. Rose L-C. ’25 scored crucial points in the 200 IM and 100 Breast as she improved her season results on both events. One of the heroes of the championship was Margaret L. ’26 who turned in stupendous swims in the 50 Free and 500 Free scoring points which later proved to be pivotal. Mo O. ’25 and Melanie M. ’27 added strong improvements in the 50 Free and Melanie M. went on to drop huge time in the 100 Free. Elle K. ’24 swam convincingly in the 100 Fly dropping three seconds and continued the success in the 100 Breast. In one of the gutsiest swims of the night, Elsa M. ’26 qualified for sectionals in the 500 Free and secured huge points for her team at a critical moment. Alongside Elsa M. was Elliana S-K. ’25 who also dropped time in the 500. Willow S. ’26 rounded out our distance crew swimming and scoring points in the 500 while also continuing her rapid improvement, dropping more time in the 100 Back. Alicia L. ’25 added important swims in the 100 free and 100 breast as did Violet K. ’27 in the 100 Free and 200 Free. Fu Z. ’27 saw impressive drops in the 100 Free as well.
