It was a beautiful October afternoon—cool air, warm light, and just the right atmosphere to honor the four seniors who’ve helped shape the heart of our tennis team. Before the match began, the team gathered courtside as Coach Jude shared a few words about each of them—short, thoughtful reflections that summed up years of hard work, leadership, and growth.

Yerin was first—someone who’s been a steady presence in our singles lineup and a quiet leader all season. Coach Jude spoke about her calm, consistent approach to competition and how even after being sidelined for most of last year with an injury, she had returned stronger and more focused than ever. It’s not always the loudest players who make the biggest impact, and Yerin has shown exactly how far resilience and quiet confidence can carry a team.

Next up was Zoe, whose positivity has been a constant on and off the court. Coach Jude joked about their one-of-a-kind sound effects during matches—but also emphasized how much their energy and versatility in both singles and doubles have meant to the team. Always ready to encourage a teammate, Zoe brought a spirit that lifted everyone around her.

Coach Jude then turned to Nisha, who had held down the top spot in the lineup for most of her high school career. Competitive, composed, and deeply committed to the game, Nisha has set the tone not only with her play but with the way she mentored younger teammates. Nisha has shown what it looks like to lead by example—and her presence will leave a lasting impression.

Finally, Coach Jude recognized Gisele, a doubles specialist and one of this year’s team captains. Known for building strong partnerships, Gisele led with intention and heart. Whether it was organizing team events, providing snacks, helping teammates through a tough match, or just showing up fully every day, they helped shape the team’s culture in a way that will stick long after she graduates.

After the pre-match tributes, the juniors surprised each senior with a handmade memory box—filled with photos, notes, and shared memories from over the years. The match that followed was both competitive and relaxed. Although the team posted another solid league win, it was less about the scoreboard and more about honoring the seniors' final moments on their home court.

Post-match, the team gathered for snacks, cake, and one last round of recognition. This time, it was the juniors who spoke—each sharing a few words about what the seniors meant to them. The messages were simple but heartfelt: gratitude for leadership, appreciation for friendships, and promises to carry on the standard the seniors set.

The night ended with a few group photos, a lot of laughter, and a clear sense of how much these four players have contributed—not just to the team’s wins, but to its identity.

They’ll be missed next season—but they’ve left a legacy that’s not going anywhere.
