Emma Willard School delivered an outstanding performance at the 14th Annual East Coast Invitational at Providence Career & Technical Academy, highlighted by an invitational championship and multiple personal and school record performances.

Liji H. ’27 captured first place in the girls high jump, clearing a personal-record of 5’4” to win the invitational. Her jump was a provisional qualifier for New Balance Indoor Track Nationals and the New York State Track and Field Championship Meet, and she is currently the number one ranked high jumper in NYS Section II. With this performance, Liji is now tied for third all-time in Emma Willard history, trailing only collegiate All-Americans Sharde Johnson ’18 (Colby College) and Keishorea Armstrong ’13 (Binghamton University).

Liji also added another major highlight in the long jump, recording a personal best of 15’11”, which earned her a NYS Section II qualifying mark.
