In the past couple of weeks, the track and field team has competed at multiple events with impressive results. Read on for more details from the Stillwater Relays and the home track meet on Mount Ida.

Stillwater Relays

The highlight of the meet at the Stillwater Relays came in the 4x1600m relay, where Emma Willard delivered a dominant performance to take first place while setting a new school record with a time of 25:09.89. The winning quartet of Abbe A-N. ’27, Lucy F. ’29, Lillian H. ’27, and Sky P. ’29 showcased outstanding endurance and teamwork to secure the victory.

Emma Willard also captured another major win in the 1600 Sprint Medley Relay (SMR), finishing first overall with a time of 5:02.00. The team of Ella P. ’27, Hazel L. ’27, Ava P. ’28, and Sky P. ’29 demonstrated excellent balance across sprint and middle-distance legs to secure the victory.

In distance relay action, Emma Willard competed in the Distance Medley Relay (DMR), placing fourth overall with a time of 14:08.91. The 4x400m relay team also contributed with a solid performance, placing eighth with a time of 4:49.81.

Emma Willard made a significant impact in the field events as well. In the javelin relay, the team placed second overall while setting a new school record with a combined distance of 121-08 ft. Leading the effort were Lucy N. ’28 (63-08) and Simi A-H. ’26 (58-00), whose combined throws secured the record.

In the long jump relay, Emma Willard tied for fourth place with a combined distance of 29’ 3”, adding valuable points to the team total and showing continued growth in the jumping events.

Overall, Emma Willard delivered a strong team performance, finishing fourth overall with 35 points in a competitive field. Their depth across relays and field events proved key in securing a top-four finish.


Emma Willard Meet

One of the top highlights from the meet at Emma Willard School came in the 4x800m relay, where Emma Willard’s “A” team of Francesca T. ’28, Marie Y. ’28, Vivian T. ’28, and Sky P. ’29 placed first with a time of 11:03.17, earning a spot in the Section 2 State Qualifier. The “B” relay squad of Abbe A-N. ’27, Bella L. ’28, Lucy F. ’29, and Lillian H. ’27 also ran a strong race, finishing third and showcasing the team’s depth in distance events.

On the track, Senior Captain Simi A-H. ’26 delivered another standout performance, winning the 400m hurdles in 1:16.51. She continued to be a key leader for the Jesters, also contributing to the sprint relays and hurdles.

Distance standout Lillian H. ’27 delivered one of the most inspiring moments of the meet, running a personal record of 12:52.47 in the 3000m, taking first place. Her performance energized the entire team and highlighted the strength of Emma Willard’s distance program.

Emma Willard also saw strong performances across the track:
Sky P. ’29 placed 2nd in the 1500m (5:28.35)
Vivian T. ’28 placed 3rd in the 800m (2:47.38)
The 4x100m relay team of Hazel L. ’27, Alex B. ’28, Liji H. ’27, and Simi A-H. ’26 placed third
The 4x400m relay team of Ella P. ’27, Leah K. ’28, Amisha N. ’28, and Alex B. ’28 placed third

In the field events, Emma Willard athletes continued to shine:
Liji H. ’27 won the high jump (4’10”)
Violet K. ’27 placed 3rd in the long jump (13’8”)
Emma Willard swept the top spots in the triple jump, led by Huang (1st), Kellogg (2nd), and Fayna M. ’28 (3rd)
In the throws, Lucy N. ’28 placed second in discus (80’0”), while Masouda K-A. ’27 and Christine I-K. ’27 added strong performances in the shot put

As a team, Emma Willard delivered strong results in the dual meet format:
Tied with Mechanicville Central, 64–64
Defeated Saratoga Catholic, 101–16
Defeated Stillwater, 81–50
Overall, it was a complete team effort, combining strong individual results with outstanding teamwork and support. Hosting the meet at home added to the excitement, and the Jesters made the most of the opportunity.

With state qualifiers already secured, personal records falling, and team chemistry at an all-time high, Emma Willard is off to a powerful start in league competition and looks poised for a successful season ahead.
