Leading the charge was the 4 x 400 meter relay team, comprised of Simi A-H. ’26, Zoe A-H. ’26, Vivian T. ’28, and Anyla L. ’25, that broke the school record with a first-place finish time of 4:32.23, earning them a spot at the NYS Section 2 State Qualifier.

The 4 x 200 meter relay team consisting of London G. ’28, Simi A-H ’26, Zoe A-H. ’26, and Anyla L. ’25, sprinted to victory with a season-best time of 1:51.94. This remarkable finish stands as the second-best time in Emma Willard history, underscoring their dedication and coordination.

Simi A-H. ’26 impressed individually in the 55-meter hurdles, setting a personal record of 10.52 seconds, earning a fifth-place finish. Alex B. ’28 also set a personal record in the same event, clocking in at 11.57 seconds.

In the 4 x 800 meter relay, the team of Vivian T. ’28, Abbe A-N. ’27, Dasha B. ’28, and Ana V. ’25 finished in third place with a time of 12:07.02, marking the eighth-best time in school history. Anyla L. ’25 showcased her speed once more by taking first place in the 300-meter dash with a time of 43.12 seconds, while Hazel L. ’27 recorded a personal best of 50.32 seconds in the same event.

In the distance events, Rebecca X. ’26 and Jessie H. ’27 both posted personal records in the 1500-meter run with times of 7:27.16 and 8:03.16, respectively. Abbe A-N. ’27 and Dasha B. ’28 also achieved personal bests in the 3000-meter run. Meanwhile, Rebecca X. ’26 excelled with a personal record of 4:32.00 in the 1000-meter run. Hazel L. ’27 also secured a fifth-place finish in the 55-meter dash with a personal best of 8.33 seconds.

In the field events, Liji H. ’27 claimed third place in both the high jump and triple jump, while Fayna M. ’28 and Jia Jai Y. ’28 set personal records in the triple jump. In the shot put, Mikayla B. ’25 achieved a sixth-place finish with a personal best throw of 25’ 8”, and Madeleine S-K. ’25 also marked a personal record with a throw of 23’ 3”.

Racewalk competitors Ellie S. ’25 and Ana V. ’25 made their marks with times that rank seventh and eighth on the Emma Willard all-time list, respectively.

The Emma Willard Indoor Track Team's performance at the Wasaren Championship exemplified their hard work and commitment, with several personal records and standout achievements setting the stage for future success. As the team celebrates these accomplishments, they continue to train with determination and aim to build on their success in the upcoming Section 2 Division III Sectional Meet.
