Emma Willard School is seated in the heart of New York's Capital Region, offering many opportunities for fun on- and off-campus on the weekends. Each week our Student Life office plans a number of trips, activities, and events that allow students to unwind after their busy weeks.
Head to the farmer's market and
explore downtown Troy, stock up on groceries and supplies, or enjoy dinner at one of the many delicious nearby restaurants. On campus, enjoy relaxing with friends in one of our many comfy student spaces, exploring Emma’s own 40 acres of hiking trails, bowling in the Alumnae Chapel basement, swimming, or attending club-sponsored events.
Weekends are a great time for community engagement and independent study, too.
Emma is a member of a consortium of 12 independent schools in a two-hour radius. Dances, comedy shows, and adventures await!
